Executive Branch

The Executive Branch is responsible for the daily operations and administration of the Student Government Association. Led by the Association President, this branch sets the vision of the Association for the year and what should be accomplished by the end of the year. The President serves primarily as the liaison between the Senate and university administrators. In this capacity, the President is an ex-officio member of various university committees to represent the student’s perspective and interests of the Association.

The Executive Cabinet, composed of the President, Speaker of the Senate, Speaker of the House, Chief Justice, and advisor, serves as the communication hub between all of the branches. The Executive Cabinet must annually create a budget immediately after spring elections so the Association may operate. Executive Cabinet also creates minor policies that fix problems in the Association that the Senate has not addressed or allows for the Executive Cabinet to create.
