Self Improvement
Greetings,
I came across something interesting in my search on the internet today and I wanted to share with the rest of you. If you have ever read the “7 Effective Habits of ____,” you know they suggest reading a self-improvement book every so often to spice up your life. So in my search to better my managment skills I found a man named Randy Pausch–a former professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He was presenting “The Last Lecture.” (Historically, this is a scholar’s last attempt to teach his students the most valuable life lesson before he dies.) Randy had been diagnosed with cancer when he gave this lecture and has since passed away several months after. I found this presentation very enlighting! After viewing this I googled him and found his old web page– his family had posted the rest of his lectures online.
While browsing through the others, I viewed one of the top 5 presentation I have seen in my 20 years! It was over “time management.” Who better to speak about time management than a guy who’s clock is ticking? I encourage you to take 90 minutes out of your busy schedule and watch this! It will be worth every second! The video is about half way down the page and on the left. This is the link: http://download.srv.cs.cmu.edu/~pausch/
Please enjoy.
Regards,
J.J.
